Analysis of Knowledge Level and Behavior of Mothers with Children of 0 3 years of Age Concerning Nutrition and Diarrhea

Abstract

An adequate and balanced nutrition is the most important requirement for all age groups, and especially for children, who are in the first stage of their lives. Growing and developing without adequate and balanced nutrition is unthinkable. Therefore, this study was designed and implemented on 679 women, mothers of children of 0-36 months of age, living in different quarters of Ankara. Data were collected with questionnaire technique, and evaluated with SPSS program. Of the women included in the study,76.6% looked after their children themselves, an elderly person in the family looked after 9.7% the children, and 9.3% had baby-sitters. 30.8% of the primary school graduates stated that they breast-fed the children for 4-6 months, and 43.1% of the graduates of the higher education for 4-6 months. Of the mothers who did not breast-feed the children, 52.8% said that they did not breast-feed

Sıfır Üç Yaş Grubunda Çocuğu bulunan Annelerin Beslenme ve İshal konusunda Bilgi ve Davranışlarının İncelenmesi

Abstract

Yeterli ve dengeli beslenme tüm yaş gruplarının, özellikle yaşamın başlangıcındaki çocukların en önemli gereksinimidir ve onsuz büyüme ve gelişme düşünülemez. Bu nedenle çalışma, Ankara\'nın farklı semtlerinde yaşayan ve 0-3 yaş arası çocuğu olan 679 kadın üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Veriler anket tekniği ile toplanmış ve istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamına alınan kadınların %76.6\'sı çocuklarına kendileri bakarken, %9,7\'sinin çocuğuna aile büyükleri, %9,3\'üne bakıcı bakmaktadır.İlkokul mezunu kadınların %30.8\'i, yüksek okul mezunu olanların %43,1\'i çocuklarını ilk 4-6 ay boyunca yalnızca anne sütü ile beslediklerini ifade etmişlerdir.
