Abstract

In this research, the articles published in the field of lifelong learning were examined at the international and national level with the bibliometric analysis method. Articles scanned in the field of educational sciences in the Web of Science database were included in the study. These articles were examined by the citation analysis technique according to the article and country at the world scale, and according to the article and institution at the scale of Turkey. The results indicated that the first articles in the field of lifelong learning were published in the 1980s, the number of published articles increased in the 2000s, and this increasing trend continued in the following years. Research results indicate that the most influential article at the international level is the article titled “The design of personal mobile technologies for lifelong learning” written by Sharples (2000), and in Turkey, the article titled “Lifelong learning trends of university students” written by Coskun and Demirel (2012). showed. In addition, the results showed that England was the most influential country in terms of articles published in the field of lifelong learning, and Turkey was one of the 15 most influential countries. The results pointed out that the most influential institution in terms of Turkish origin institutions (Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) is the Near East University, in terms of articles in this field.

Hayat Boyu Öğrenme Çalışmalarına Bibliyometrik Bir Bakış: Dünyadaki ve Türkiye’deki Durum

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, hayat boyu öğrenme alanına ilişkin ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde yayımlanan makaleler bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Araştırmaya Web of Science veri tabanında eğitim bilimleri alanında taranan makaleler dâhil edilmiştir.
