Hiperhidrozis tedavisi

Year 2014, Volume: 24 Issue: 2, 79 - 84, 01.01.2014

Abstract

Treatment of hyperhydrosis

Year 2014, Volume: 24 Issue: 2, 79 - 84, 01.01.2014

Abstract

Hyperhidrosis is characterized by localized or general excessive sweating which is severe enough to be perceived as pathological. This condition can cause significant distress that may lead to a negative impact on social and professional quality of life. Significant controversies surround the optimal treatment of primary hyperhidrosis of the hands, axillae, feet, and face. Non-surgical treatment involves topical medication, iontophoresis and systemic anti-cholinergics. More recently the use of intradermal botulinum toxin has gained popularity. Novadays, thoracic sympathetic surgery is the gold surgical treatment inpatient with primer hyperhydrosis
