Abstract

In diesem Beitrag werden zwei Inschriften vorgestellt, die Eckart Olshausen und Gerhard Kahl 1988 bzw. 1989 aufgenommen haben. Bei der einen Inschrift handelt es sich sehr wahrscheinlich um die Weih- bzw. Bauinschrift eines Tempels; vermutlich war er Sarapis, Neōtera und vielleicht auch Isis geweiht. Bei der anderen Inschrift handelt es sich um die Votiv- oder Weihinschrift eines Altars. Mit diesen beiden Inschriften sind aus dem Territorium von Neoklaudiopolis nun insgesamt acht pagane Weih-, Dank- und Votivinschriften bekannt.
In einem Appendix werden zwei Objekte vorgestellt, bei denen es sich mit unterschiedlicher Sicherheit ebenfalls um Altäre handelt. Sie sind, soweit beurteilbar, unbeschriftet.
In zwei weiteren Appendices schließen sich Bemerkungen zu den Inschriften Studia Pontica III 49, 51, 56, Olshausen 1987, 84-85 Nr. 3 und Kahl 1995 an, die teils die Lesung betreffen, teils die Frage der Identität von Personen.

Abstract

Bu makale Eckart Olshausen ve Gerhard Kahl tarafından sırasıyla 1988 ve 1989 yıllarında kaydedilen iki yazıtı sunmaktadır. Bunlardan biri büyük olasılıkla Sarapis, Neōtera ve belki de Isis’e adanmış bir tapınağın ithaf ya da inşa yazıtıdır. Diğer yazıt ise bir sunak üzerindeki adak ya da ithaf yazıtıdır. Bu iki yazıtla birlikte, Neoklaudiopolis topraklarından toplam sekiz pagan ithaf, şükran ifadesi ya da adak yazıtı bilinmektedir. İlk ek bölümde, farklı kesinlik derecelerinde sunak olarak tanımlanabilecek, görünüşe göre yazıtsız iki nesne sunulmaktadır. Diğer iki ek, Studia Pontica III 49, 51, 56, Olshausen 1987, 84-85 No. 3 ve Kahl 1995 yazıtları hakkında, kısmen metnin okunuşu ve kısmen de söz konusu kişilerin kimliği ile ilgili yorumlar içermektedir.

Dedicatory, thanksgiving and votive inscriptions from Neoklaudiopolis (Vezirköprü/Samsun İli, Türkiye)

Abstract

This article presents two inscriptions recorded by Eckart Olshausen and Gerhard Kahl in 1988 and 1989 respectively. One is very probably the dedication or building inscription of a temple, most likely to Sarapis, Neōtera and perhaps also Isis. The other inscription is the votive or dedication inscription of an altar. With these two inscriptions, a total of eight pagan dedications, expressions of gratitude or votive inscriptions are now known from the territory of Neoklaudiopolis. An appendix presents two objects which may with varying degrees of certainty be identified as altars, apparently uninscribed. Two further appendices contain comments on the inscriptions Studia Pontica III 49, 51, 56, Olshausen 1987, 84-85 No. 3 and Kahl 1995, partly concerning the reading of the text and partly the identity of the persons in question.
