Abstract
In the globalized world, entrepreneurship plays a very important role in economic growth and development by creating new jobs, increasing quality and competition with newly developed products, increasing productivity with the change it brings and providing employment. The simulations show that economies in which gender equality in the economy is developed, perform better in the long run than economies in which economic output is maximized based on gender roles. Therefore, the contribution of women to economic life is very important in terms of economic development. Within the scope of the study, a literature review was conducted for academic publications which issues women entrepreneurship and published in 2020 and in the first half of 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic prevailed. The examined publications were classified according to years, language, publication type, research method, and scope information. In addition, the journals of the reviewed publications, the disciplines of the authors, and the definitions of entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs in the publications were examined in this paper.
