Research on Business Ethics in Insurance Sector

Abstract

For the insurance industry, which is dependent on
mutual trust, it has become an inevitable need for businesses to create and develop
their ethical practices. the aim of the study is to examine ethical perception
in the insurance sector and based on the opinion on the ethical implications of
their company's employees in the insurance sector, reveal the status of the
insurance ethics in Turkey. In study, the question scale used in the survey is
“Attitude Towards Business Ethics Questionnaire” (ATBEQ) to analyze the ethical
perceptions of insurance company employees. . As a result of the comparative
analyzes that measure the relationship between the employees' demographic data
and their perceptions of ethics, it was 
concluded that there is a significant relationship between age,
education level, sector of work, working time and company size and the
perceptions of the employees

Sigorta Sektöründe İş Etiği Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Karşılıklı güven ilişkisine bağlı olan ve iyi niyet
prensibiyle hareket eden sigorta endüstrisi için işletmelerin etik
uygulamalarını oluşturup geliştirmeleri kaçınılmaz bir ihtiyaç haline
gelmiştir. Araştırmada sigorta sektöründe etik algının incelenmesi ve sigorta
sektörü çalışanlarının kendi şirketlerinin etik uygulamaları konusundaki
görüşlerinden yola çıkarak, Türkiye’de sigorta sektörünün etik açıdan durumunu
ortaya koyabilmek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada sigorta şirketi çalışanlarının etik
algılarını ölçmek için “İş etiğine yönelik tutum ve davranışlar” ölçeği
(Attitude Towards Business Ethics Questionnaire) (ATBEQ) anket formu
kullanılmıştır. Çalışanların demografik verileri ile etik algıları arasındaki
ilişkiyi ölçen karşılaştırmalı analizler sonucunda yaş, eğitim seviyesi,
çalışılan sektör, çalışma süresi ve şirket büyüklüğü ile çalışanların iş
algıları arasında anlamlı ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
