There are two basic forms of expression in Turkish, which are oral and written expression. The essential element in this magical system between the source and the receiver is to convey the desired message properly. There are many factors that affect this communication type. People's attitudes towards speaking is also one of these factors. In this study, the major purpose is to determine the attitudes of the teacher candidates to Verbal Expression course and verbal expression. The study group consists of 326 teacher candidates from Gaziosmanpaşa University. Yelok & Sallabaş (2009) "An Attitude Scale towards Verbal Expression Course and Verbal Expression" was applied as a data collection tool in the study. The results of the variables such as department, gender, graduated high school type, educational status of parents, reading books, watching TV, watching television, using internet were tried to be examined. It has been determined that the candidates have developed a positive attitude towards verbal expression in this study. As a result of the analysis, it has been found that there is a meaningful difference between the attitudes in terms of the departments of the students towards Verbal Expression course and attitudes towards verbal expression.
