The purpose of this study is to compare the usage of piano and guitar as accompany instrument in sight-singing education in Music Education Department under-graduate level from the aspect of student performance. Control-group post-test design was preferred. The piano accompany part of a selected solfege piece was adopted to classical guitar preserving all the harmonic and rhytmic features. Groups were instructed for two weeks, the experiment group with guitar and the control with piano, following exactly the same schedule in each group. The post-test was applied to the subjects and the results were evaluated. As a result of the statistical processes applied on the data, it was determined that there is no significant difference between guitar and piano utilization as accompany instrument in solfege education.
