Abstract

20. yüzyıl birçok alanda büyük değişimlerin ve gelişmelerin yaşandığı bir yüzyıl olmuştur. Bilim ve teknolojide yaşanan büyük atılımlar insanların yaşam algılarını tümüyle değiştirecek bir boyuta gelmiştir. Bilgiye ulaşmadaki kolaylık sayesinde insanlar, kendilerine geçmişte sunulan ve gerçek olarak kabul ettirilen değerleri sorgulama konusunda daha cesur olmaya başlamışlardır. Bu durum sanatçıları da doğal olarak etkilemiştir. Ayrıca 20. yüzyıl gibi alnında iki büyük dünya savaşı lekesi bulunan bir yüzyılın sanatçılarının önceki yüzyılda sanata hâkim olan akımları yaşatması mümkün değildi. 20. yüzyılda teknolojinin ve bilimin gelişimini önlenemez bir şekilde eserleri içine alan sanatçılar, yaşamdaki kaosu da sanatlarının çekim alanına yerleştirdiler. Tiyatro sanatı da hayatla olan yakın bağından ötürü 20. yüzyılın gelişmelerinden etkilendi.

Abstract

The 20th century was a century that witnessed major changes and developments in many areas. The great advances in science and technology reached a level that would completely change people's perceptions of life. Thanks to the ease of access to information, people began to be more courageous in questioning the values that had been presented to them in the past and accepted as true. This situation naturally affected artists as well. Furthermore, it was impossible for artists of a century like the 20th century, marked by two major world wars, to perpetuate the movements that dominated art in the previous century. Artists in the 20th century, who inevitably incorporated the development of technology and science into their works, also placed the chaos of life within the sphere of their art. Theater art was also influenced by the developments of the 20th century due to its close connection with life.
