Edvard Munch’un Sanatında Yas Olgusu

Abstract

Ölüm, her canlı için kaçınılmaz, sonrası belirsizlik içeren bir olgu olarak çağlar boyu bilim ve sanatın konusu olmuştur. İnsanın anlamlandırmakta güçlük çektiği en karmaşık olgulardan biridir. Ölümden sonraki belirsizli¬ğin yarattığı korku ve endişe ile hayatı boyunca mücadele eden insan, bu durumla karşılaştığında derin üzün¬tüler içeren bir yas süreci yaşar. Özellikle yakınlarını kaybeden bireylerin, yas sürecinin kimi zaman uzun yıllar sürdüğü ve tüm yaşamlarını etkilediği belirtilmektedir.
Ekspresyonizm akımının öncülerinden kabul edilen Edvard Munch’un yapıtları incelendiğinde ölüm ve yas konusunu tekrarlayarak kullandığı görülür. Sanatçı; erken yaşta annesini ve kız kardeşini hastalık nedeniyle kaybet-miş, ölüm olgusuyla çocuk yaşta tanışmıştır. Yaşadığı bu deneyim sanatını etkilemiş, yas içindeki bireylerin psiko¬lojisini çarpıcı bir üslupla anlatmıştır. Yas tepkilerini farklı boyutlarda ele alan sanatçı, ölüm karşısında bireyin geçirdiği ruhsal değişimin yanında yas olgusunun sosyal yönüne de vurgu yapmıştır.
Çalışmada yas kavramı ve olası yas tepkileri araştırılarak Edvard Munch’un ölüm ve yas kavramlarını konu aldığı “Ölü Anne ve Çocuk”, Ölü Yatağı” ve “Hasta Odasında Ölüm” isimli yağlıboya çalışmaları biçim ve içerik yönünden incelenerek yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Mourning Case in Edvard Munch’s Art

Abstract

Death is inevitable for ali living things, including as a case after the uncertainty has been the subject of Science and art in every age. Making sense of death is one of the most complex cases in vvhich people have difficulty. The uncertainty created by the fear and anxiety after death people struggling through life, live a mour¬ning process that involves deep sadness when faced with this situation. Especially near the individuals who lost their grieving process that sometimes lasted for many years, it is knovvn to affect their vvhole lives.
When pioneer of expressionism current accepted Edvard Munch’s vvorks are examined it is seen that often use the issue of death and mourning. Artists at an early age had lost his mother and sister because of the di- sease, a child is acquainted with death. Living this experience influenced the art, he describes the psychology of individuals in mourning striking manner. The artist has described the death of different sizes.
Munch, as it reflects the mood svvings of the individual in the face of death he emphasized the social as- pects of death.
According to research, in modern society, the general attitude taken against human death, rejection and indifference. İndividuals, away from the idea of death is noted that shape the daily life accordingly. Based on this argument, Munch’s painting of death and mourning, trying to forget the death or insensitivity when people are confronted with death. İn this context, one can question the existence thinking of his own death, reconsider position on the world, and live a spiritual restoration.
The concept of the work of mourning and grief reactions are investigating possible death and mourning Edvard Munch’s painting have been interpreted in this direction, İt has been referred to the function of art in modern society.
