MAKING SENSE OF SUBSIDIARITY IN TURKEY
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to define the concept of “subsidiarity” from the view of European Union and Council of Europe of Local Self-Government and to interpret implications of this concept in urban planning practices in Turkey. In this context, the implementation problems rose from articles of Turkish Constitution (Art: 127) and the Development Law (Numbered 3194/ Arts: 8-9) are discussed regarding the concept of “subsidiarity”.
