Abstract

Fizik biliminde akışkanların yani sıvıların ve gazların mekaniğini inceleyen branşa akışkanlar mekaniği denir [1, 2]. Akışkanlar mekaniğinin alt branşı olan akışkanlar dinamiği ve hidrodinamik branşı , “shear rate” kesme/kayma hızı veya kesme/kayma hızı geçmişine bağlı olan akışkanları “Non-Newtonian” akışkanlar olarak tanımlar [3-5]. Kesme/kayma hızı ise, bazı malzemelere aşamalı bir kesme deformasyonunun uygulanma oranı/hızıdır; ve Non-Newtonian akışkanlarda, biri sabit bir hızda hareket eden diğeri hareketsiz iki paralel plaka arasında akan bir sıvının kesme/kayma hızı olarak ifade edilir [6]
