Abstract

Akut/kronik hastalıklar ve hastaneye yatış
çocuklar için hoş olmayan bir deneyimdir. Çocuklar hastaneye yatışla birlikte
anksiyete, korku, ağrı gibi olumsuz duygu durumlarıyla karşı karşıya
kalmaktadır. Bu noktada ağrıyı azaltmak, anksiyete ve gerginliği gidermek,
iletişim kurmak amacıyla terapötik oyun kavramı ortaya çıkmaktadır. Terapötik
oyun, pediatri kliniklerinde hemşirelik bakımının çok önemli bir yönünü
oluşturur. Bu derlemede terapötik oyunun, çeşitlerini, hastaneye yatan çocuklar
için yararlarını ve hemşirelik bakımına katkısını tanımlamak amaçlanmıştır.
Böylece başta hemşireler olmak üzere sağlık profesyonellerinin, hastaneye yatan
çocukların sağlığını ve gelişimini desteklemek amacıyla, terapötik oyunu daha
etkin kullanabilmesi için yol gösterici olacağı düşünülmektedir.
