Immigration Settlement of Bulgaria Emigrants in Skopje After 93 War
Abstract
As a result of the after Russian Wars, the Ottoman State began to lose Bulgaria area, which led
to the inverse imigration of Muslims. Muslim society living in these regions immigrated to the
Ottoman State. For immigrants land was provided to settle and they were supported to
construct their houses. The hospitals were built in Skopje because of the immigrants health
problems. Taking this case into consideration in places where the migrants were setted,
uncultivated lands convenient to cultivation have been appointed for migrants usage. In this
study we tried to reveal settlement issues at Uskub according to official Ottoman documents
and monographies which discussed this subject in detail.
