Abstract

Akut süpüratif parotit genellikle bakteriyel etkenlere bağlı olarak gelişen parotis bezinin enfeksiyonudur. Yenidoğan döneminde nadirdir. Tanısı kolaylıkla konulabilir ve genellikle antibiyoterapi yeterlidir. Antibiyoterapiye yanıt alınamayan olgularda cerrahi drenaj gerekebilir. Akut unilateral süpüratif parotit saptanan ve antibiyoterapi ile iyileşen 9 günlük yenidoğan olgu sunulmuştur.

Case Report: Neonatal Acute Suppurative Parotitis

Abstract

Acute suppurative parotitis is an infection of parotis gland which is caused by bacterial factors. It is rare in neonatal period. Diagnosis is easy and antiotherapy is sufficient for healing. Surgical drainage can be required for the cases who antibiotherapy is inadequate. Night days old newborn, who acute unilateral suppurative parotit was determined at and was treated with antibiotherapy, was presented in this case report
