Integration Of Integral Nursing Theory in The Management of Dyspnea in With Asthma Case

Abstract

Dyspnea is one of the most common and most important symptoms of asthma. In the management of dyspnea, non-pharmacological methods can be used as well as pharmacological treatment methods. When using non-pharmacological treatment methods; It is important to care for the patient with a holistic approach. Because thanks to holistic patient care; effective communication and cooperation between the patient and the nurse are ensured, and thus, the management of the disease and patient-nurse satisfaction can be ensured by encouraging adherence to treatment. Today, it is emphasized that relaxation techniques have a positive effect on autonomic balance, and when used appropriately and regularly, it is one of the non-pharmacological methods that can be used in anti-asthma treatment and will contribute to recovery. In this article, based on Dossey's Integral Nursing Theory of an asthmatic patient; It is aimed to provide dyspnea management with relaxation exercises and therapeutic communication.

İntegral Hemşirelik Kuramının Astımlı Olguda Dispne Yönetimine Entegre Edilmesi

Abstract

Dispne, astımın en sık görülen ve en önemli semptomlarından birisidir. Dispne yönetiminde farmakolojik tedavi yöntemleri kadar non farmakolojik yöntemler de kullanılabilir. Non farmakolojik tedavi yöntemleri kullanılırken; hastaya bütüncül yaklaşım ile bakım verilmesi önemlidir. Çünkü bütüncül hasta bakımı sayesinde; hasta ve hemşire arasında etkin iletişim ve hasta ile işbirliği kurulması sağlanır ve böylece tedaviye uyumu teşvik edilerek hastalığın yönetimi ve hasta-hemşire memnuniyeti sağlanabilir. Günümüzde gevşeme tekniklerinin otonomik denge üzerinde olumlu bir etkisi olduğu, uygun ve düzenli kullanıldıklarında, anti-astım tedavisinde kullanılabilen non farmakolojik yöntemlerden biri olduğu ve iyileşmeye katkı sağlayacağı vurgulanmaktadır. Bu makalede astımlı bir olgunun Dossey’in İntegral Hemşirelik Kuramı temel alınarak; gevşeme egzersizleri ve terapötik iletişim ile dispne yönetiminin sağlanması amaçlanmıştır.
