Abstract
This research is aimed at developing a scale for examining teacher’s happiness levels. Knowing the happiness levels of the employees in educational organizations and taking actions that will increase their happiness can support the development of a healthy organizational culture. The research was prepared using survey model, a quantitative research method. The universe of the study consists of 12549 teachers working in the central districts of Şanlıurfa province (Eyyübiye, Haliliye, Karaköprü). The sample group of the research includes 580 teachers selected from the research universe through convenience sampling method. During the scale development phase, an item pool was created, and expert opinions were taken. Then, validity and reliability analyzes were done. In the analysis of the data, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), Cronbach Alpha Reliability, Item-Total Score Correlation analysis techniques were used.According to the research findings, it was seen that the Teacher Happiness Scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool. The Teacher Happiness Scale consists of five sub-dimensions. These sub-dimensions are Personal Development, Professional Satisfaction, Managerial Approach, Colleague Relations, and Student Approach. The scale consists of 20 items and has no reverse item.
