Transkültürel Hemşirelik

Abstract

Klinik hemşiresinin, her hastanın kültürel değerlendirilmeye

ihtiyacı olduğunu fark etmesi önemlidir.

Çünkü her bireyin farklı değerleri, inançları ve uygulamaları

vardır. Bu nedenle kültürel deıerlendirmeler

özel etnik gruplarla sınırlandırılmamalı, bireysel olarak

yapılmalıdır. Transkültürel açıdan donanımlı olan

hemşirelerin empatik, içten, şefkatli ve esnek olduğu

bilinmektedir. Kültürel farklılıklara pozitif tutum sergilerler.

Çünkü kültürel duyarlılığın merkezinde açıklı

k, diğerlerini takdir etme, holistik yaklaşım, gerçek

ilgi ve önyargısız davranış vardır. Hemşire kültürel

duyarlılık geliştirdiği zaman, farklı bir kültüre sahip

hasta ile karşılıklı alışveriş ve kültürel sinerji oluşur,

bakım anlamlı, tatmin edici ve yararl› bir flekilde sonuçlanı

r.
