Abstract

hedeflenmektedir.

Points to be Considered in Functional Evaluation of the Lower Urinary Tract by Using Uroflovmetry

Year 2020, Volume: 15 Issue: 2, 110 - 114, 31.05.2020

Abstract

Uroflowmetry is one of the most commonly used diagnostic test that gives
relatively objective information about the lower urinary tract function.
Uroflowmetry is the first-line diagnostic test in the diagnosis of lower urinary
tract disorders. The results of uroflowmetry may be affected by various factors.
This review underlines key points for better standardization and optimal use of
uroflowmetry: The conditions that request of uroflowmetry test, the conditions
that affecting the accuracy of uroflowmetry results, points that the patient should
pay attention for regarding bladder fullness, ensuring the patient privacy, features
of the uroflowmetry room, uroflowmetry devices and calibration, evaluation of
uroflowmetry test, responsibilities of the nurse in uroflowmetry procedure. Thus,
we aim to obtain higher standards in nursing practices and patient care in our
country.
