Abstract

Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the psychological resilience levels of university students during the Covid-19 pandemic period. This
descriptive study was conducted with 188 students studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences of a private university. The data were collected
face-to-face from the students between January and June 2022. “Personal Information Form” and “Short Psychological Resilience Scale”
created by the researchers were used to collect the data. It was determined that 54.5% of the students participating in the study adapted to
the new normal situation brought by the pandemic conditions moderately, 53.5% had moderate difficulties during the pandemic process, and 83.5% did not need psychological support during the pandemic. While the total mean score of the students in Short Psychological
Resilience Scale was found to be 19.33±4.59, the total mean score of the students who did not need psychological support in the pandemic
was found to be higher than the students who needed psychological support.
The psychological resilience of university students during the Covid-19 pandemic period is moderate, and it is recommended that
initiatives that protect and improve students’ mental health should be integrated into education and training activities in order to prepare
students for crisis situations such as the Covid-19 pandemic, and to ensure the continuity of these activities.
