Safevîler Devrinde Şiîliğin Yayılmasında Tasavvufun Rolü: Tasavvuf Tarihi Açısından Bir Değerlendirme

Abstract

Şiîlik ile tasavvuf arasındaki ilişki karmaşık bir yapı arz etmektedir. Ortak şahıslara ve kavramsal dünyalara sahip olan bu iki yol neredeyse aynı zamanlarda ortaya çıkmış ve gelişme kaydetmiştir. Fakat tasavvuf kendisini başlangıçtan itibaren Sünnî bir paradigmaya dayandırdığı için Şiîliğin ona bakışı genellikle menfî olmuştur. İmamlardan sûfîler aleyhine aktarılan bazı rivayetler bu düşmanlığı daha da arttırmıştır. Seyyid Haydar Âmülî gibi Şiîlik ile tasavvuf arasını telif etmeye çalışan bazı âlimler çıksa da tarih boyunca bu olumsuz tavırda pek yumuşama meydana gelmemiştir. Bilindiği üzere Safevîlerin tarih sahnesine çıkışıyla birlikte On İki İmam Şiîliği resmî bir hüviyete kavuşmuştur. Bazı araştırmacılar Safevîlerin bu mezhebi yaymasında ve halkın Sünnîlikten Şiîliğe geçişinde tasavvufun önemli bir rol oynadığını öne sürmüşlerdir. Kanaatimizce tarihin belirli bir kesitine odaklanan bu görüş bazı abartıları ve eksiklikleri içermektedir. Bu makalenin temel amacı Safevîlerin Şiîliği yaymasında tasavvuf ve tarîkatların etkisinin bulunup bulunmadığını tarihî süreci dikkate alarak anlamaya çalışmaktır.

The Role of Sūfism on The Publication of Shi’ısm in Safavid Perıod: An Assessment in Terms of The History of Sufism

Abstract

The relationship between Shi’ism and Sūfism is of a comlex nature. These two sects having the common individuals and the conceptual worlds emerged almost at the same time and have made improvements. But Shi’ite point of view of Sūfism has generally been negative because Sūfism bases itself to Sunnī paradigm from the outset. Some accounts that were transferred from The Imams against sūfis have increased this hostility even more. Despite the fact that some scholars like Sayyid Haydar Āmulī working on to compile between Sūfism and Shi’ism have come any softening in this negative attitude has accured throughout history. It is known that the Twelver Shi’ism has gained as an official identity with the advent of Safavids to the stage of history. Some researchers have argued that Sūfism played an important role on the publication of Twelver Shi’ism in Safavid era and the transition of the people from Sunnism to Shi’ism. In our opinion, this point of view focusing on a spesific section of the date contains some exaggerations and shortcomings. The main purpose of this article is to understand whether any effect of Sūfism and the sūfī orders on the publication of Shi’ism in Safavid Period considering the historical process.
