One of the prolocutors that his name was eulogized in
the history of Arabic Literature is Ibn Nubāta. Ibn Nubāta who was born in
Silvan (Meyyāfāriqīn/Fāriqīn), which is now a district of Diyarbakir, in
336/946 was under the care of Hamdāni’s Amir Sayf al-Dawlā Ibn Hamdān (d. 356/967), and he had a preaching duty in
the palace. Ibn Nubāta who took the reputation of rightful one with the sermons
that he negotiated in Silvan and Aleppo has a review of sermons which has come to today. Ibn Nubāta death in Silvan in
374/984. Some sources state that he death in Aleppo. The sermon on Hossain’s
martyrdom that Ibn Nubāta negotiated in the second Friday of the month of
Muharrem is important. Ibn Nubāta expresses his sadness in that sermon, and
equally emphasizes the need for Muslims to feel sorry for it.
