Öz

Castleman Disease (CD) consists of several types of lymphoproliferative disorders characterized by enlarged lymph nodes. CD can be categorized depending on clinical presentation and histopathological features. There is still no clear understanding of the etiology and further research is needed. We report a case of a female patient who presented only with swelling on the left side of her neck with no other complaints. The excisional biopsy helped to reach a definitive diagnosis- unicentric Castleman disease, hyaline vascular type. The removal of the lymph node was a sufficient treatment as well.In conclusion, Castleman disease is a rare cause of cervical lymphadenopathy and should be enlisted in the differential diagnosis of other lymphoproliferative disorders.

Castleman hastalığı (CH), lenf düğümlerinin büyümesiyle karakterize edilen çeşitli lenfoproliferatif bozukluklardan oluşur. CH, klinik görünüm ve histopatolojik özelliklere göre sınıflandırılabilir. Etiyolojisi hakkında hala net bir bilgi bulunmamakta ve daha fazla araştırma yapılması gerekmektedir.
