Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between life satisfaction and basic human values among university students. SPSS was used to analyze the data obtained. In the analysis of the data, frequency and percentage distributions were presented. In addition to this, Mann-Whitney U Test and The Pearson Moments Correlation Coefficient Test were used. According to the findings, the most widely adopted value by the students was the conservation value. This was followed by the self-transcendence value. The life satisfaction level of students was found to be high. There was a positive but weak relationship between life satisfaction and openness to chance, conservation and self-enhancement values. Those with a higher level of life satisfaction adopted the openness to change, conservation and self-transcendence more.
