Harran University Journal of Sciences (e-ISSN: XXXX) is the periodic, peer-reviewed, open-access, scientific official publication of Harran University. Our journal, which will start publication in 2026, will be published as free and open access to the public. As of the 2026 Issue 1, all published articles will include a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Our journal is published biannually in June and December.
Articles that do not follow the journal format or have a similarity rate exceeding 20% (checked with plagiarism software) will be returned to the author for revision before review.
All works submitted to the journal must be original and must not have been published elsewhere before. The exception to this rule is oral presentations or posters presented as abstracts at scientific congresses. It should be stated whether your article has been previously presented as an oral presentation or a poster at a scientific congress. This information should be added to the cover page or the relevant field in the online article submission system, and details such as the name, date, and location of the congress where the abstract was published must be specified. If the article is derived from a postgraduate thesis, the date and thesis number (National Thesis Center) should be indicated. The authors are responsible for all ethical, scientific, and legal liabilities of the published works.
General Rules
All works to be submitted to the journal must be in Microsoft Word format. The article text, along with all figures, graphs, and tables, should be submitted electronically in a single file or in accordance with the instructions. The title and short title of the manuscript should be on the cover page. The manuscript should clearly state the names, surnames, affiliated institutions, email addresses, and ORCID ID numbers of all authors who contributed to the study.
Since our journal employs a double-blind peer review process, no information revealing the identity of the author(s), such as name, institution, acknowledgments, etc., should be included in any sections other than the cover page.

o Main Text:
Turkish articles should be structured as follows: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References.
English articles should be structured with the headings Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
Other headings: Are free depending on the content of the study; there is no restriction on the number of headings.
The word count, excluding tables, figures, and references, should not exceed 10,000.
Tables and figures must be named, numbered in the order they appear in the text, and indicated where they are referenced in the text at the end of the relevant sentence. Tables (Table 1, Table 2, ...) and figures (Figure 1, Figure 2) should be shown with consecutive numbers. Table titles should be above the table, and figure titles should be below the figure. For microscopic images, the magnification and technique should be explained.
o References must be written in accordance with the citation rules below.
o The reference list should be formatted with a line spacing of 2 (double line spacing).
o In-text citations should be indicated in parentheses ( ) immediately before the period at the end of the sentence.
Line Numbers: Recommended to facilitate the peer review process; continuous line numbering should be used on each page, if possible.

In-text citations follow the APA 7 (American Psychological Association, 7th Edition) author-date system.
Single author: (Yılmaz, 2024)
Two authors: (Yılmaz & Demir, 2024)
Three or more authors: (Yılmaz et al., 2024)
Multiple works by the same author: (Yılmaz, 2020, 2024)
Multiple sources in the same parentheses: (Yılmaz, 2024; Demir & Aksoy, 2023; Kaya et al., 2022). The citation parenthesis comes before the punctuation mark.
References: All references are listed in alphabetical order by author's last name. Each reference should be formatted according to APA 7 rules.
