Bilmecenin Yapıbozumu: Alternatif Bir Okuma Stratejisi

Abstract

Deconstructing Riddles: An Alternative Reading Strategy

Year 2023, , 424 - 446, 15.10.2023
https://doi.org/10.20304/humanitas.1276518

Abstract

The riddles have been covered as an object of examination by various disciplines such as literature, anthropology and folklore studies. Thanks to the results of the approaches of these various disciplines, the riddles offered abundant information about their linguistic qualities and specific features of culture they belong. In this study it will be started with the definitions ve classifications of the riddles in different disciplines and literatures. Next, the definition of sign which was given, Ferdinand de Saussure will be handled. Then a strategy called “plexus” which was inspired by “deconstruction” which was generalized from the strategic readings of Jacques Derrida will be tried to be developed. Plexus will be defined as experiencing meaning radically, making and non-making sense and being dealt with translation. It will be asserted that rather than a relationship between signifier and signifed, the meaning in riddles works with the logic of différance.
