Gerçek veYöntem: Bu tanımlayıcı, kesitsel çalışma, Sivas ve Adıyaman illerinde bulunan 3 hastanede çalışan 184 hemşirenin katılımıyla yürütülmüştür. Veriler iki bölümden ve 13 sorudan oluşan soru formu ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizi , bilgisayarda Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS 11.5) programı kullanılarak yüzdelik ve ki-kare testi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Tacize uğrayan hemşirelerin % 61.4’ü rahatsız edici şekilde gözünü dikerek bakma, % 34.8’’inin mahrem / özel yaşamla ilgili sorular sorulması şeklinde tacize maruz kaldıkları belirlenmiştir. Tacize maruz kalan hemşirelerin, % 29.3’ ü meslektaş ve yöneticilerden yardım istediklerini, % 17.9’u hiçbir şey olmamış gibi davrandıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Hemşirelerin, hastalar tarafından cinsel tacize maruz kalmamak için, hastayla iletişimi kendini sınırlandırmaya yönelik (kendine dönük ) öneriler getirmeleri dikkat çekmiştir. Sonuç: Hemşirelerin büyük çoğunluğunun cinsel tacizle karşılaştığı ve çoğunluğunun baş etme yöntemlerinin soruna yönelik olmadığı ve pasif tepki gösterdikleri belirlenmiştir
