Boşanmış Aile Çocuklarına Hemşirelik Yaklaşımı

Year 2008, Volume: 15 Issue: 1, 76 - 84, 01.03.2008

Abstract

Year 2008, Volume: 15 Issue: 1, 76 - 84, 01.03.2008

Abstract

Divorce is a crisis situation which develops within the family lifecycle and causes imbalance in psychology by changing the roles of the family members. This process is especially difficult, confusing, stressful and complex for children whose coping skills are limited. Researches indicate that, the divorced family children have more problems in terms of family relations, psychological, behavioral and academic. In addition, these children are twice more likely to develop psychiatric problems than others. Nurses have the key role of identifying these risk groups and developing protective and preventive measures in this field. In this article, it was aimed to identify problems experienced by divorced family's children, point out a nursing approach specific to this group, and raise awareness of nurses.
