Abstract

In the Labour Code 4857 permits the employers to reduce the working hours in times of economic crisis and in cases of force major. Under these circumstances, it is aimed to reduce the labour cost for the employers. This approach is the reflection of the increasing pressure of ınternational competetion on Turkish economy caused by the globalization and the unemployment in Turkey.

Abstract

4857 sayılı İş Kanununda işverenlerin ekonomik kriz ve zorunlu nedenlerle çalışma saatlerini azaltmaları mümkün kılınmıştır. Bu şartlar altında, işverenler için işgücü maliyetinin azaltılması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu yaklaşım, küreselleşmenin neden olduğu uluslararası rekabetin Türkiye ekonomisi üzerindeki artan baskısının ve Türkiye’deki işsizliğin yansımasıdır.
