SIVI DENGESİ VE SPORCU PERFORMANSINA ETKİSİ

Abstract

Vücutta oluşan biyokimyasal ve fizyolojik fonksiyonlar vücudun sıvı dengesine bağlı olarak gelişmektedir. Yaşanılan bölgeye göre çevre şartları, yapılan antrenman ve fiziksel aktiviteler, sıvı olarak vücudun ihtiyaç duyduğunun altında sıvı alımı gerçekleşmesi vücuttaki sıvı dengesini olumsuz etkilemektedir. Bu sıvı dengesinin olumsuz etkilenmesi özellikle sporcularda antrenman ve müsabaka sıralarında terlemeye bağlı olarak fazla sıvı elektrolit kaybı ile gerçekleşmektedir. Vücut sıvıları azalarak sıvı dengesi sağlanmadığında termoregülasyonda da bozulma gerçekleşmektedir. Bu tür durumlardan sporcunun korunması için günlük belirli sıklıklarda belirli miktarda sıvı alınması gerekmektedir. Özellikle sporcuların antrenman öncesi, antrenman sırasında ve antrenman sonrasında sıvı tüketimlerini planlı olarak yapması performans açısından önem taşımaktadır. Alınması gereken sıvının miktarları, türü bireyden bireye değişiklik göstereceğinden sporcunun yaşam durumuna göre ayarlanması sporcunun başarısında oldukça etkili olabilmektedir. Yine sporcuda sıvı dengesini kontrol edecek, sıvı kaybının anlaşılabileceği birçok yöntem bulunmaktadır. Bu yöntemler doğrultusunda da sporcu sıvı dengesi durumunu tespit edebilmeli ve kendi ihtiyacına göre sıvı tüketimine önem vermesi gerekmektedir.
