Abstract

Başta karpal tünel sendromu olmak üzere her tür kompresyon nöropatisinde güncel tanı ve tedavi yaklaşımları geliştirilmektedir. Karpal tünel sendromunda altın standart tam bir fizik muayeneye eşlik eden EMG'dir. EMG yapılırken tek bir ölçüm yöntemi kullanıldığında kesin sonuç elde edilemeyen vakalarda farklı ölçüm yöntemleri kombine edilmelidir

Electrodiagnostic methods using for carpal tunnel syndrome and its diagnosis

Abstract

Carpal tunnel syndrome CTS is the most common form of entrapment neuropathies. Electromyography EMG still keeps its value as the most commonly used diagnostic tool and the gold standard in diagnosis of CTS is EMG accompanying to a through clinical examination. Various methods of EMG should be combined when a method alone is not necessary for diagnosis. In this article, we aimed to review the electro diagnosticmethods used in the diagnosis of CTS
