Abstract

Poland Sendromu, tek taraflı pektoralis major kasının sternokostal parçasının yokluğu, aynı taraf
hemitoraksta kosta anomalileri ve üst ekstremite anomalileri ile karakterize konjenital bir sendromdur.
Olgumuz, yirmi dört yaşında erkek hastaydı. Sağ kolda hafif kas güçsüzlüğü şikayeti nedeniyle yapılan
muayenesinde inspeksiyonda sağ hemitoraksta hafif çöküklük, ipsilateral alopesi görüldü. Palpasyonda sağ
major pektoral kasın olmadığı anlaşıldı. Nadir görülen hafif form poland sendromlu olguyu, litaretür
uygunluğu açısından sunmayı amaçladık.

Mild form of Poland syndrome: Case report

Abstract

Poland Syndrome is a congenital syndrome, characterized by the unilateral absence of pectoralis major
muscle's sternocostal part, costa anomalies in ipsilateral hemithorax and upper extremity anomalies. Our
case is a male patient at the age of 24, and in his examination performed due to myasthenia at his right arm, it
was seen a slight trough at right hemithorax, ipsilateral alopecia and the absence of right pectoralis major
muscle in palpation. We aimed at presenting this case on the basis of it to have mild form of Poland syndrome
and its compliance to the literature.
