Nutritive Values of Astragalus (Astragalus gummifera) in Natural Plant Flaura of Celikhan
Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to investigate nutritive values of astragalus (Astragalus gummifera). Nutritive values of
astragalus were compared with alfalfa hay and wheat straw. Crude protein content, metabolic energy, in vitro digestible dry
matter and in vitro digestible organic matter values of astragalus were lower than that of alfalfa hay and higher than wheat straw.
Acid detergent fiber and neutral detergent fiber values of astragalus were higher than that of alfalfa hay and lower than wheat
straw. In conclusion; feed values astragalus is better than wheat straw and lower than alfalfa hay.
