Abstract

Plasenta, koryon ile uterus mukozasının birbirine kaynaşmasından meydana gelmiş, anne ile yavru arasında metabolik ve hormonal ilişkiyi sağlayan dokudur. Çeşitli hayvanlarda plasentanın şekillenmesi sırasında, plasenta bariyerini oluşturan tabakalardan bazılarının değişikliğe uğradığı görülür. İmplantasyonlarda, koryon uterus ilişkisi kuvvetli olursa, uterus mukozasındaki bağdoku hücreleri değişikliğe uğrayarak desidua hücrelerine dönüşürler. Bu şekildeki uterus mukozasına Desidua denir. Desidua kelime anlamı olarak doğumda atılan, dökülen endometriyum kısmıdır. Bundan dolayı doğum sırasında kanama meydana gelir.
