Bir Montofon Melezi Süt İneğinde Kutanöz Aktinobasilloz Olgusu

Abstract

lignieresii
tarafından oluşturulan pyogranülamatöz kutanöz lezyonlar
sığırlarda oldukça nadir şekillendiği için deride şekillenen pyogranülamatöz
lezyonların ayırıcı tanısında aktinobasillozun göz ardı edilmemesinin gerektiği
düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca lezyonların tedavisinde, cerrahi yöntemin yanı sıra
sodyum iyodür ile birlikte uzun süre antibiyotik uygulaması ile tedavide
başarılı sonuçlar alınabileceği kanısına varıldı.

A Case of Cutaneous Actinobasillosis in A Dairy Cross-Breed Brown Swiss Cow

Abstract

In this study, we aimed
to evaluate the clinical and histopathological findings and treatment outcomes
in a 5-year-old Brown Swiss crossbred cow with cutaneous actinobacillosis. In
the medical history of the cow, the information was gained that different sizes
and gradually growing mass formed in the left paralumbar fossa region and
medial aspect of the hind limb was present. Clinical examination revealed a
cutaneous mass of egg size on the paralumbar fossa, two separate masses of
walnut sizes on the medial aspect of the left hindlimb, and 5 cutaneous
granulomatous masses of hazelnut size on the medial aspect of the right hind
limb. The masses in the paralumbar fossa and the medial aspect of the left hind
limb were totally excised. No surgical intervention was performed for other
masses. Histopathological examination of the excised masses revealed an
Actinobacillus-like bacterium as the cause of the chronic pyogranulomatous
inflammation. Postoperatively, oral sodium iodide, parenteral procaine
penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin sulfate were administered. As a result,
pyogranulomatous cutaneous lesions formed by Actinobacillus lignieresii
are very rarely formed in cattle, so it is thought that actinobacillosis should
not be ignored in the differential diagnosis of pyogranulomatous lesions formed
in the skin. In addition, it has been concluded that using antibiotics for a
long time with sodium iodide and the surgical method can be successful in the
treatment of the lesions.
