Bölünmüşlüğün Etnofotografisi

Abstract

Kıbrıs adası yaklaşık elli yıldır bölünmüş durumda ve adalılar hayatlarını bölünme kavramı etrafında inşa ediyorlar. Bu araştırmada adayı ikiye bölen Yeşil Hat'ın adalıların hayatlarını sosyal ve kültürel olarak nasıl etkilediğini incelenmektedir. Özellikle 2003 yılında geçiş noktalarının açılmasından sonra başta başkent Lefkoşa olmak üzere Surlariçinde hayat çok kültürlü ve çok toplumlu bir şekilde yeniden şekillenmektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında Kıbrıs adasında gerçekleşen bu dönüşümlerin izlerini sürmek adına etnofotografik bri yöntem benimsenmiştir. Böylelikle etnografik metin ve etnografik fotoğrafın bir arada üretildiği bir analiz sunulmuştur.

The Ethnophotography of Dividedness

Abstract

The island of Cyprus has been divided for nearly fifty years and islanders build their lives around the concept of division. This research examines how the Green Line, which divides the island into two, affects the lives of the islanders socially and culturally. Especially after the opening of the checkpoints in 2003, particularly the capital Nicosia and the Old Walled City are being reshaped in a multicultural and multi-communal way. In the context, of this study, an ethnophotographic method was adopted and an analysis formed by ethnographic text and ethnographic photographs was presented to understand and analyze the island's cultural life.
