Abstract

HERMITIAN TRANSFORM APPROACH IN CLASSIFICATION OF ECG SIGNALS

Year 2010, Volume: 2 Issue: 7, 89 - 101, 01.09.2010

Abstract

The continuous Hermite functions have been used for continuous
signal approximations for some time. Vectors called discrete Hermite
functions are presented in this paper that model digital signals in a
similar way, often with excellent compression capabilities. When used in
conjunction with ANNs (artifical neural networks) Hermite founctions
can effectively reduce computational load and provides faster
classification. In this work we purpose a method for classification of
ECG signals using Hermite basis functions.
