Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğrencilerin uzaktan eğitim kavramına ilişkin metaforlarını ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, kolay örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen ve 2020-2021 yılları arasında Ankara'da öğrenim görmekte olan 64 ilköğretim öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Verilerin analizinde içerik analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre dört kategori altında otuz sekiz metafor oluşturulmuştur. Öğrenci görüşlerinde ekonomi, duygu, teknolojik/akademik ve başa çıkmanın önemi vurgulanmıştır.

The views of secondary school students on distance education: A qualitative study on the analysis of metaphorical perceptions

Abstract

The aim of this research was to reveal out the mental images of students regarding the concept of distance education. The study group was composed of 64 primary school students that were chosen via convenience sampling method and had been studying in Ankara during 2020-2021. In the analysis of data content analysis techniques were used. According to the findings, thirty eight mtaphors were created under the four categories. The views of students were highligted the importance of the economy, emotion, technological/academic, and cope with. The results clearly showed that students need more support for distance learning. Also, some psychological and social variables effect directly the education life of the students.
