At first, the European Union (EU) did not propose a common model in the public administrations of the member states. However, especially after the fifth enlargement phase in which ten Eastern European countries are full members of the EU, the similarity and integration in public administrations emerged as a more important problem. For this reason, efforts to increase the administrative capacities of EU candidate countries and to harmonize them with EU legislation have gained speed. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of European Administrative Space on the structural and functional dimension of Turkish public administration. In this context, the research consists of two parts. In the first section, the conceptual dimension, historical development, definition and principles of the European Administrative Space are discussed; SIGMA and Europeanization concepts are emphasized. In the second part, the effects of the European Administrative Space on Turkish public administration are examined. In this context, Practice of principles such as reliability, predictability, accountability, openness, transparency, effectiveness and participation, which are accepted as the principles of European Administrative Space, are examined in Turkish public administration. Then, the effects of the European Administrative Space on the structural dimension of Turkish public administration are addressed in the context of central government, regional development and management, and local governments. When evaluated as a whole, it can be stated that the European Administrative Space is one of the most important factors in the change and transformation of all levels and dimensions of Turkish public administration. Although its speed has decreased recently, important reforms have been realized in the Turkish public administration with the effect of the European Administrative Area.
