Abstract

Dünya genelinde her ekonomik statüden ve her yaştan insanların cep telefonu kullanımı yaygınlaşmaktadır. Cep telefonu ve alt yapı sistemlerinin radyofrekans radyasyonu (RFR) yaydığı ve biyolojik canlılar üzerinde elektromanyetik alan etkisi oluşturduğu bilinmektedir. Biyolojik canlılar üzerindeki olumsuz etkileri yönündeki endişeler sebebiyle çok sayıda bilimsel araştırma yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmalardan bir kısmı da erkek üreme sistemleri üzerine olan etkisinin araştırıldığı çalışmalardır. Bu çalışmada, gerek insanların ve gerekse deney hayvanlarının erkek üreme sistemleri üzerinde radyofrekans radyasyonu ve elektromanyetik alan etkisi yönünde yapılan 84 adet bilimsel çalışma objektif olarak incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; günümüzde kullanılmakta olan teknolojilerin ürettiği elektromanyetik radyasyonun testis dokusu ve sperm kalitesi üzerinde olumsuz etkiler oluşturduğu, dolayısıyla doğurganlığı olumsuz yönde etkileyebildiği bilgisine ulaşılmıştır. Bunun yanında gelişmekte olan yeni iletişim teknolojilerinden olan, LiFi ve 5G teknolojileri üzerinde ise yeterli çalışmaların yapılmadığı, güvenilirliğin oluşması için çok yönlü bilimsel çalışmaların yapılması gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır.

ELECTROMAGNETİC RADİATİON EXPOSURE EFFECT ON THE MALE REPRODUCTİVE SYSTEM

Abstract

The use of mobile phones by people of all economic status and all ages is becoming widespread worldwide. It is known that mobile phones and infrastructure systems emit radiofrequency radiation (RFR) and create electromagnetic field effects on biological organisms. Many scientific researches have been conducted due to concerns about the negative effects on biological organisms. Some of these researches are studies investigating the effect on male reproductive systems. In this study, 84 scientific studies on the effect of radiofrequency radiation and electromagnetic field on male reproductive systems of both humans and experimental animals were objectively analysed. As a result of the research, it was found that the electromagnetic radiation produced by the technologies in use today has negative effects on testicular tissue and sperm quality, thus negatively affecting fertility. In addition, it was concluded that there are not enough studies on LiFi and 5G technologies, which are among the developing new communication technologies, and that multidimensional scientific studies should be carried out in order to create reliability. In addition, it has been concluded that LiFi and 5G technologies, which are among the developing new communication technologies, have not been adequately studied and that multi-faceted scientific studies should be carried out to establish reliability.
