Abstract

İtalyan asıllı iktisadi düşünür Piero Sraffa (1898-1983), 20.’ci yüzyılın en özgün ve önemli ekonomi teorisyenlerinden biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Neoklasik ekonomiye yönelttiği önemli eleştiriler ile tanınan Sraffa aynı zamanda klasik ekonominin yeniden canlanmasına yaptığı katkılarla da ün kazanmıştır. Sraffa’nın başlıca eseri olan “Malların Mallarla Üretimi - İktisat Kuramını Eleştiriye Açış” (1960), ekonomik sistemlerde değer ve dağılımı analiz eden neo-Ricardocu iktisadi düşünce okulunun temellerini atmıştır. Sraffa ayrıca Ricardo’nun yazılarının etkili baskılarını da yayınladı. Bu çalışma Sraffa’nın görüşlerini farklı açılardan ele almakta ve Sraffa’nın iktisadi düşünce tarihindeki rolünü açıklamaya çalışmaktadır.

Abstract

The Italian-born economic thinker Piero Sraffa (1898–1983) is considered one of the most original and important economic theorists of the 20th century. Sraffa is known for his significant critique of neoclassical economics and is also recognized for his contributions to the revival of classical economics. Sraffa’s major work, “Production of Commodities by Means of Commodities - Prelude to a Critique of Economic Theory” (1960), laid the foundation for the neo-Ricardian school of thought in economics, which analyzes value and distribution in economic systems. Sraffa also published influential editions of Ricardo’s writings. This study examines Sraffa’s views from various perspectives and attempts to explain Sraffa’s role in the history of economic thought.
