Ergenlikte Aleksitimi Özellikleri ile Kişiler Arası İlişki Biçimleri ve Problem Çözme Yetileri Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı ergenlerdeki aleksitimik özellikler ile bunların kişiler arası ilişki biçimleri ve problem çözme becerileri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Metod: Araştırmaya yaşları 12-15 arasında değişen 103 ergen dahil edilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan gruba Sosyodemografik Veri Formu, Çocuklar için Aleksitimi Ölçeği, Çocuklar için Problem Çözme Envanteri ve Kişilerarası İlişkiler Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Ergenlerin aleksitimik özellikleri ile problem çözme becerileri arasında negatif yönde anlamlı ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca, ergenlerin aleksitimik özellikleri ile kişiler arası ilişki tarzlarından besleyici ilişki tarzı ile negatif yönlü anlamlı düzeyde ilişkiye rastlanırken, ketleyici ilişki tarzı ile istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Sonuç: Ergenlerin aleksitimik özellikleri ile problem çözme becerileri ve kişiler arası ilişki tarzları arasında anlamlı ilişkiler saptanmıştır. Aleksitimik ergenlerin ilişki biçimlerini değerlendirebilmek açısından kişiler arası ilişki tarzlarını anlamanın önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir.

Examining the Relationship between Alexithymia Features in Adolescents and Interpersonal Relationship Styles and Problem Solving Abilities in Adolescents

Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study is examing the relationship between alexithymic features in adolescents and their interpersonal relationship styles and problem solving abilities. Methods: A hundred and three subjects were enrolled to the study. Participants were given sociodemographic properties form, Alexithymia Scale for Children, Problem Solving Skills Scale for Children and Interpersonal Relationship Styles Scale. Results: The relationship between alexithymic features in adolescents and problem solving abilities is negatively directed. In addition to this, there is a statistically significant and negative correlation between alexithymic features in adolescents and nourishing relationship style which is the subscale of interpersonal relationship styles. However, there is no statistically significant correlation between alexithymic features in adolescents and interlocking relationship style which is the subscale of interpersonal relationship styles. Conclusion: The results of the study put forth that there is a significant relationship between alexithymic features in adolescents and their interpersonal relationship styles and problem solving abilities. Evaluation of alexithymic features in adolescents could be important to understand their interpersonal relationships styles.
