DİŞİL ÖZNENİN BEDENLENME SÜRECİNDE BİR ETKEN OLARAK TECAVÜZ KORKUSU

Abstract

Tecavüz korkusu; öznelliklerini şekillendiren ırk, sınıf ve diğer etkenler ile çeşitlenerek değişik ölçülerde paylaşılsa ve farklı korunma stratejileri ile karşılansa da, kadınlar tarafından yaygın olarak deneyimlenmektedir. Bu korku altında kadınlar, tehlikeye karşı bedenlerini dışarıdan bir bakışı üstlenmek suretiyle gözetleyerek denetim altında tutmakta, davranışlarını sınırlamakta, hareketlilik ve tercih alanlarını daraltmaktadırlar. Zira kadınlar; kadınlara yönelik tecavüz olgusunun fiilen mevcut olduğu, cinsiyetlere dair eşitsiz söylem içinde dişi olmanın tecavüz edilebilir olma ile bağlandığı, kadınlara bu ihtimal ve bağlantının sürekli hatırlatılmasıyla tehlikeyi önleme yükümlülüğünün yüklendiği bir toplumsal durumda yaşayagelmişlerdir. Bu kapsamda kadınlar; bedenlerini, tecavüz fiillerine mağdurların öz denetim ve gözetim yükümlülüğünü gerçekleştirmediği söylemi ile karşılık veren bir toplumsal durum içinde deneyimlemekte, her daim mevcut tecavüz tehlikesini bedenlerini denetim altına alarak önlemeye eğilim göstermektedirler. Bedenini cinsel açıklık mesajı verme ihtimalinin toplumsal ölçüsüyle sürekli gözetlemek ve sınırlamak, bedeni deneyimlemenin yükü ağır bir şeklidir ve dişi olarak doğmanın sonucu olarak öğretilerek kadınlara yüklenmektedir. Bu koşullarda küçüklükten itibaren zihne yerleştirilen ve hatırlatılan tecavüz tehlikesi; kadınların dişi olduklarını farkına vardıkları, eril olanlardan farklı koşullara tabi tutularak öznelliklerinin kurulduğu ve böylece ayırt edildikleri bir cinsiyete dayalı bedenlenme sürecinin parçasını teşkil etmektedir. Zira dişil biyolojiyle doğmak ve bunu kendiliğinden bir deneyim olarak yaşamak ile; dişi olduğunun farkında olma, mevcut koşullarda bu değişkene bağlı olarak anlam kazanan ve gerekli hale gelen biçimlerde eyleme zorunluluğunun ortaya çıkması ve dişi olmanın toplumsal karşılığının etkisinde benliğin şekillenmesi birbirinden farklı şeylerdir. Bu cinsiyetlenme sürecinin unsurlarından biri de hem tecavüz olgusu hem de tecavüze ilişkin hakim toplumsal çerçevenin sonucu olarak şekillenen ve dişil bedensel deneyimi sınırlayan tecavüz korkusudur.

THE FEAR OF RAPE AS A FACTOR IN THE EMBODIMENT OF THE FEMININE SUBJECT

Abstract

Fear of rape is widely experienced by women, although it varies depending on factors such as race, class, and other factors that shape their subjectivity, and is met with different protection strategies. Under this fear, women monitor and control their bodies by adopting an external gaze, restricting their behavior, and narrowing their mobility and options. Women have lived in a social situation where rape against women is a real thing, where being female is linked to being rapable in unequal gender discourse, and where women are constantly reminded of this possibility and connection, putting the burden of preventing danger on them. In this context, women experience their bodies in a social situation where they respond to rape with the argument that victims fail to fulfill their obligation to control and monitor themselves, and they tend to control their bodies to prevent the ever-present threat of rape. Constant monitoring and restricting of one's body based on the social measure of its potential to convey messages of sexual openness is a way of experiencing the body with heavy burden, and it is imposed on women by teaching them that this responsibility is a result of being born female. Under these conditions, the danger of rape, instilled in the mind from childhood and constantly reminded, forms part of a gender-based embodiment in which women become aware of their femininity, are subjected to different conditions than men, and are thus distinguished from them. Being born with female biology and experiencing it as a natural phenomenon is different from being aware of being female, having to act in ways that are necessary and meaningful according to her sex in the current circumstances, and having one's identity shaped by the social implications of being female. One element of genderization is the fear of rape, which is shaped by both the phenomenon of rape itself and the prevailing social framework surrounding rape, and limits the female bodily experience.
