Üniversite Öğrencilerinde Esenlik Hali ve Akademik Öz Yeterlilik: Tek Seferlik Bir Minnettarlık Müdahalesinin Rastlantısal Kontrol Deneyi

Year 2025, Volume: 27 Issue: Özel Sayı, 182 - 193, 28.10.2025

Abstract

Well-Being and Academic Self-Efficacy in University Students: A One-Time Gratitude Intervention Randomized Controlled Trial

Year 2025, Volume: 27 Issue: Özel Sayı, 182 - 193, 28.10.2025

Abstract

This study examined the effect of a one-time gratitude intervention on university students' well-being and self-efficacy perceptions. The students divided into two groups, a gratitude group and a control group, using a randomized control experiment. Then, the gratitude levels, well-
being (life satisfaction and positive affect) and academic self-efficacy of the groups after the intervention/control were measured. The analyses that the one-time intervention had a significant effect on gratitude and positive affect in the context of well-being, but not on life satisfaction and academic self-efficacy. The findings highlight the potential of gratitude intervention programs in the fields of positive psychology and positive organizational behavior and suggest the need for further research with different sample groups.
