Writing Rules

WRITING RULES


In articles to be sent to the journal, authors must comply with the principles and rules specified below.

Articles that are not prepared in accordance with the specified principles and rules may not be included in the evaluation process or may be excluded from evaluation at any stage of this process.


Writing Rules

1. Articles should be prepared in A4 size in the "Office Word" program.

2. The length of the articles should be in magazine format and should not exceed 25 pages.

3. Page layout; It should be Left: 2 cm, Right: 2 cm, Top: 2 cm and Bottom: 2 cm.

4. Articles should be written in 12-point font and "Times New Roman" font, using single line spacing. In writing, there should be a one character break after commas and periods.

5. Paragraphs should have an initial indent (first line – 1 cm), and a 6nk space should be left before and after the paragraph. There should be no additional blank lines between paragraphs.

6. On the first page of the article, there should be a Turkish and English title in 14 font size, a Turkish and English abstract of not more than 200 words in 11 font size, and at least 3 - at most 5 Turkish and English keywords.

7. 2 or 3 JEL codes should be added under the keywords.

8. The author's title, name and surname should be stated in 12-point font at the bottom right of the article title. Under the author's name and surname, the author's place of work and e-mail address should be shown in 10 font size.

9. In the article, main headings and subheadings are written in 12-point bold and left-aligned (without indentation) as 1., 1.1., 1.1.1., 1.1.2., 1.1.2.1. They should be numbered with decimals, such as . All letters of the main headings should be written in capital letters, and only the initial letters of the subheadings should be written in capital letters. Headings should be divided into up to 4 levels. There should be 1 line of space before the titles, and no spaces should be left after the title.

10. All tables, figures and graphs in the article should be numbered consecutively in appropriate places in the text, centered on the page. Each table, figure or graph should be given a title. Title; It should be placed above the table, figure or graph, centered on the page, with only the initial letters of the words capitalized and in 12-point font. The text in tables, figures and graphics should be between 9-11 points. Tables, figures or graphs must be easily readable and must comply with the page structure given above (not exceeding the page margins). Example: Table 3: Export Data

11. Citations should be made within the text using the conjunction method. Explanatory notes should be expressed as footnotes at the bottom of the page and in 10 point font. Citations in the text should be made with the surname of the author(s), the year of the source and the page number. If there is no author name, the institution name should be used instead of the author. Example;

· Citation in single-author publications: (Author'sSurname, 2011:70).

· Citation in publications with two authors: (FirstAuthor'sSurname and SecondAuthor'sSurname, 2012:22).

· Citation in publications with three or more authors: (FirstAuthor'sSurname et al., 2014:35).

· Reference to more than one source: (Schumpeter, 1934:66; Wood, 2005:36)

· Citation for full source: (Drucker, 1995)

· Citation for sources without author names: (TURKSTAT, 2012:45).


12. If the citation is taken from a website and the author of the citation is known, the citation should be made in a similar way to periodical publications. If no date is given for the resource downloaded from the internet, the date of access to the relevant file should be used as the year of the resource. If the author of the citation is not known, the institution of the website and the year of access should be written in parentheses. Example;

· Citation with author name and year of publication: (Author'sSurname, 2012)

· Citation with unknown author name and year of publication: (Competition Authority, 2008).


13. If more than one work of an author published in the same year is cited, the works should be indicated by giving letters such as a, b, c next to the year. Example;

· Author'sSurname (2013a), Author'sSurname (2013b).


14. All sources used in the article should be included in the bibliography section. The sources used should be listed alphabetically according to the author's surname, regardless of their quality (thesis, book, article, report, etc.). Works of the same author should be placed in the bibliography, starting from the "most recent" one. Reference indent should be set to (Hanging – 1 cm). The bibliography must be prepared in accordance with the examples given below.

Internet Based Resources



(i) If the author of the source is known, it should be given in the bibliography, similar to periodical publications. However, the internet address where the source is located must also be given with all its extensions. If no date is given for sources downloaded from the internet, the date of access to the relevant file should be used both in the bibliography and in the text. Example;

(ii) If the source does not belong to an author but is taken from the web page of an institution or organization, the name of the institution, the title of the article (if any) and the internet address with all its extensions should be given in the bibliography. Example;

15. In cases where writing is not specified, the principles adopted in scientific writings should be taken into account.
