A Field Study On Identification Of Technology Management Capabilities Of Accountants: The TR63 Region
Abstract
Depending on global developments, business processes are constantly changing and the need for technology to do their accounting is increasing day by day. Technological changes and developments that provide convenience almost everywhere in life have a separate effect on every occupation. In this case, the interaction between accountants and technology is increasing day by day. It is expected that the technological competencies of those who perform accounting profession are at high levels in order to be realized at desired levels. This research was carried out in order to reveal the technology management skills of the people who are in charge of accountancy profession in the context of TR 63 Region (Kahramanmaraş, Hatay and Osmaniye). Tekin ve Göral (2010: 293) 's developed scale was used in the research. Questionnaires used in practice were applied to professional accountants registered in the Chamber of Freelance Accountants and Financial Advisors in the scope of the research. In addition, the questionnaire is applied by random sampling and the data obtained show that the accountants in Kahramanmaraş among the accountants in the region have a better performance in technology management ability than the other accountants

Öz
Küresel gelişmelere bağlı olarak işletme süreçleri sürekli olarak değişmekte ve bunların muhasebesinin yapılması için teknolojiye olan ihtiyaç günbegün artmaktadır. Hemen hemen hayatın her yerinde kolaylıklar sağlayan teknolojik değişim ve gelişmelerin her mesleğe ayrı bir etkisi olmaktadır. Bu durumda muhasebecilerin de teknolojiyle olan etkileşimi de her geçen gün biraz daha artmaktadır. Bunun istenilen düzeylerde gerçekleştirilebilmesi için muhasebecilik mesleğini icra eden kişilerin teknolojik yeterliklerinin üst düzeylerde olması beklenmektedir. Yapılan bu araştırma TR 63 Bölgesi (Kahramanmaraş, Hatay ve Osmaniye) bağlamında muhasebecilik mesleğini yapan kişilerin teknoloji yönetim becerilerinin ortaya konulması amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada Tekin ve Göral (2010)’ın geliştirmiş olduğu ölçek kullanılmıştır. Uygulanan anketler araştırma kapsamın içerisinde yer alan illerdeki Serbest Muhasebeci ve Mali Müşavirler Odasına kayıtlı muhasebe meslek mensuplarına uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca anket rastsal yöntemlerle belirlenen örnekleme uygulanmış ve elde edilen verilere göre bölgedeki muhasebeciler arasında kıyaslandığında Kahramanmaraş’taki muhasebecilerin teknoloji yönetim becerileri hususunda diğer ilerdeki muhasebecilere göre daha iyi bir performans ortaya koyduklarını göstermektedir.
