The Status of Local Government and Commercial Business on the Protection of Consumers: A Study in the Western Black Sea Region

Abstract

The work on the protection of consumers in our country it is possible to lead to much earlier date. But concrete work in the area has been shaped by history and the 4077 Law on Consumer Protection 23.2.1995. After this date, significant changes have been made over the years in the 4077 law. Finally, date 11.28.2013 and numbered 6502 was adopted a new law on consumer rights. The purpose of this study, the Law on Protection of Consumers (md.54) is located, the price tag for the application of Zonguldak and Bartin province, is intended to determine whether applied by businesses. Applications, which work in 2014 on retail on two main streets in both cities, was conducted with participant observation method. The study consist of all retail businesses in both cities also identified the main street route. This fits the number of enterprises in the province of Bartin 180, and 209 are in the province of Zonguldak. The number of enterprises is 389 units were included pancakes. As a result of participant observation study of business price tag on the products they offer for sale a large portion were found to place. However, businesses in Bartin (29.7%) in the province of Zonguldak businesses (7.2%) than were found to adhere to the further application of labels.
