The Investigation Of Contributions For Denizli City By The Companies Located In The Denizli Organized Industrial Zone: Corporate Social Responsibility

Abstract

Nowadays many companies are trying to carry out corporate social responsibility activities to contribute to their corporate reputation and awareness. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) issue is the acceptance of responsibility for the businesss take holders and become a concept to ensure the to meet of these responsibilities to its stakeholders. The purpose of this study is to investigate the information about companies' CSR practices, by analysing their corporate web sites, located in the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone (DOSB). Beside the purpose of this study is to identify ways in which companies contribute to the city of Denizli consciousness, and urban culture. In this context it was analyzed companies located in DOSB by using content analysis of corporates' web sites. According to the study, two-thirds of the companies have web pages in DOSB. DOSB companies have performed more philanthropic practices in education and health than others. DOSB companies, tend to perform philanthropy practices with institutions in Denizli, university and non-governmental organizations.

Denizli Organize Sanayi Bölgesi Şirketlerinin Denizli Kentine Katkılarının İncelenmesi: Kurumsal Sosyal Sorumluluk

Abstract

Günümüzde birçok işletme kurumsal itibarına ve bilinirliliğine katkı sağlamak için kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk (KSS) faaliyetlerini gerçekleştirmeye çalışmaktadır. KSS, zaman içinde işletmelerin paydaşlarına yönelik bazı sorumlulukları olduğunu kabul etmesi ve bu sorumluluklarını paydaşları için yerine getirmesini sağlamaya yönelik bir kavram haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Denizli Organize Sanayi Bölgesi (DOSB) şirketlerinin kurumsal web sitelerinde yer alan, hayırseverlik ile bağlantılı KSS bilgilerini araştırmak ve şirketlerin Denizli kentine ve kentlilik bilincine hangi şekillerde katkıda bulunduklarını ortaya koymaktır. Bu bağlamda DOSB şirketlerinin kurumsal web sayfaları içerik analizi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre şirketlerin 2/3’nün web sayfası bulunmaktadır. DOSB şirketleri Denizli’de daha çok eğitim ve sağlık alanlarında hayırseverlik uygulamaları gerçekleştirmektedir. DOSB şirketleri hayırseverlik uygulamalarını Denizli’deki resmi kurumlar, üniversite ve sivil toplum örgütleri ile gerçekleştirme eğilimindedir.
