Interference in English Language Learning Among Indonesia Students

Abstract

English has been considered to be first foreign and second language in Indonesia It
functions to help the development of the state and nation, to build relation with other
nations, and to run foreign policy including as a language used for wider communication
in international forum. There are a lot of problems found in the English learning language
learning. One of kind is interference. Interference means the influence that the learner’s
L1 exerts over the acquisition of an L2. There are several causes of interference in
language learning, which are: 1) bilingualism, 2) the similarity between the shape of L1
and L2, and 3) the ease for second language learners
