Determining Vaccine Dosage with Fuzzy Logic in Allergen Immunotherapy for Allergic Asthma

Year 2023, Volume: 7 Issue: 4, 85 - 94, 31.12.2023

Abstract

Inflammation and airway constriction, which restrict airflow, are the hallmarks of the CH. Inflammation and airway constriction are the hallmarks of the chronic respiratory disease asthma. When allergens and environmental elements cause this narrowing of the airways, allergic asthma develops. It may show signs including coughing, wheezing, and tightness in the chest. Simple controller medicines and bronchodilators are insufficient for severe instances of asthma. In such circumstances, allergen immunotherapy, commonly referred to as vaccination therapy, is one of the treatment alternatives. Allergen immunotherapy is a form of medicine that lessens a person's immunological reaction to allergens.
Inflammation and airway constriction, which restrict airflow, are the hallmarks of the CH. Patients may experience local, systemic, or anaphylactic reactions following vaccination, though. Determining the dosage is crucial for patients who have systemic and anaphylactic reactions. The doctor uses their expertise and knowledge to lower or raise the dosage when modifications are required based on the patient's response. Additionally, doctors may find this role to be both significant and onerous. The optimal dosage can be established by conducting a fuzzy study based on the patient's pulmonary function test and post-vaccination reactions. With more precise data, the process may be advanced, and doctors' stress levels are to be reduced as a result of this study. The main objective is to reduce the adverse reactions that patients experience after vaccination in order to successfully complete the therapy and reduce, as much as possible, any adverse effects on the patient's life that may result from the vaccine.

Thanks

I would like to express my gratitude to the administration of Dr. Sami Ulus Women's Health, Child Health, and Diseases Training and Research Hospital and to the esteemed instructors working at the Pediatric Allergy Clinic for their unwavering support and attention during my treatment process, as well as for sharing their knowledge and experiences. I extend my heartfelt thanks to my family, who have always been by my side, never wavered in their support, believed in me, and provided both financial and moral support throughout my treatment journey. With the hope of practicing my profession in the light of knowledge, ethics, and secularism...
